Trade Handbooks
THERE WERE two trade handbooks issued by Irwin P. Beadle & Co., in the early
days of the firm, which were apparently never reprinted by Beadle & Co. Neither
has been seen by me, and the following information is derived solely from advertisements
and the copyrighted title pages.
Dime Farrier's Guide and Complete Horse Doctor.
Announced in the May number of The Home, which came out late in April,
as "Forthcoming." The title page was deposited for copyright on April 19, 1860,
by Irwin P. Beadle & Co., 137 William Street, but whether the booklet was ever
issued or not is unknown.
Dime Cattle Doctor and Cattle Breeder's Guide.
