Beadle's Useful Library (London)
THE LONDON BRANCH also published several handbooks at six pence each under
the title Beadle's Useful Library. Not much is known about them. A "Six
Penny Cookery Book and Practical Housekeeper's Guide" by W. Carpenter was published
between January 16 and 31, 1865; "Ready Remedies for Common Complaints" between
May 15 and 31, 1865; and a "Recipe Book" in the same year.
