Rexfored, George Conant.

George C. Rexford, musician and music teacher, a son of Stillman Rexford and his wife Catharine Huggard, was born in Boston, September 27, 1819. Stillman was captain of a coasting vessel which usually ran from Boston to New Orleans. He died when George was an infant, and George's mother married again when he was three years old. George himself was married first to Sarah A. Harrod in April, 1842, and second to Caroline Newkirk, in Buffalo, May 4, 1852. He had a son, George Henry, by his first wife, and a daughter, Annie H., by his second.

Rexford is listed in the Buffalo Directories from 1852 to 1855 as a musician, and from 1856 to 1859 as a music teacher. He then appears in the New York Directories as a music teacher from 1864 to 1891. What he did and where he was from 1860 to 1863, and when and where he died is unknown.
