Launce Poyntz,(1) said by some to be a play on the words "Lance Points," was a pen name of Frederick Whittaker. The two names are given together in several novels,(2) and other novels were published under both names(3) in different editions. Poyntz's novels are listed in this book under the name Whittaker.
