This name is given in the "by-line" of "My Young Husband," No. 78, Waverley Library, quarto edition. The story appeared originally as a serial in the Family Story Paper, beginning in Volume V, December 24, 1877. In answer to a correspondent in the same paper, V, July 29, 1878, the statement was made that "Winsome Winnie and My Young Husband are written by the same author." The former story began as a serial in the same paper, Volume V, July 15, 1878, with the writer's name given as "Alice Dale, Author of Little Daisy."
