| 1. | "Rose Kennedy." Myrtle, the Child of the Prairie. December 5, 1860. Appeared in abbreviated form as Half-Dime Novelettes, no. 1 and in early editions of Dime Novels, no. 23. In expanded form it was later issued as Dime Novels, no. 54, American Library (London edition of Dime Novels), no. 39; New Dime Novels, no. 544. A child, abandoned on the prairie, is found by Hugh Fielding. The girl eventually finds her widowed mother and all ends happily when Fielding marries the mother. |
