Errym, Malcolm J.

Errym is an anagram of Rymer, and Malcolm J. Errym was a pseudonym of James Malcolm Rymer.(1) For his novels, see Rymer.

J. E. Haynes, Pseudonyms of Authors, New York, 1882, gives Malcolm J. Errym as a pseudonym of J. Malcolm Rymer. The same is given in the British Museum catalogue. But Malcolm J. Errym's The Rift and the Spray, published by Brady, in 1860, is identical with The Pirate Scud, No. 85, American Tales, by Malcolm J. Merry, another anagram of Rymer, consequently Merry is Errym is Rymer. M. Summers, Gothic Bibliography, 43-44, gives both Errym and Merry as pseudonyms of Rymer.
