Under the name C. L. Edwards, Beadle published a single story in six different editions and under four different titles. Edwards also wrote a few short stories for the New York Weekly in the late 1860's. (E. L. Edwards was Mrs. Metta V. Victor, but who C. L. Edwards was is unknown.)
